Baby Bader Coming Soon

So here's an interesting story!  Years ago I made a wonderful friend and her husband was super nice too!

We ended up doing lots of stuff together and sharing many years of full, fun, family life.  We went camping... we went to Tahoe... they attended our kids birthdays and events.  She was truly one of my besties!  We shared a love of scrapbooking and spent lots of time together doing that.  Then one day, he pulled up out side my house and I hadn't seen them in awhile.  Not having any idea that something was wrong, he began to tell me that their marriage was over and she was the one that wanted out.  She really just wanted a new life and to leave him and ME behind.  It was very sad!  Soooooo... he moved on went to school to get his MBA and in the process met someone new!  Needless to say, I was not all that hopeful that this man could again marry a best friend for me... but I have to say without a shadow of a doubt, she could be. She is remarkable and one of the nicest girls I have ever met.  I REALLY like her and hope that there will be lots of time together, He and She, and Paul and I.  I was lucky enough to get to shoot her maternity photos and I had the best time.  I love that when I said to her... "Can I ice your tummy and make it look like a cupcake?"... she said "Sure... Sounds great!"   I love you guys... Thanks Dave and Sonia!  I can't wait to meet your beautiful little girl, STELLA!

Christian Agellon Birth

I am not sure how to put this experience into words.  About two years ago, I met Mark and Joanne Agellon.  They hired me to shot their engagement photos and there wedding.  I was a very nervous being a new photographer and honestly worried about be a little older and not what you would typically get when you think about a creative, urban, out-of-the-box style wedding photographer.  Mark and Joanne were amazing people and I had the time of my life doing there engagement shoot.  They seemed so pleased with the photos and I was really looking forward to the wedding.  A couple of months later I was told that the wedding was off.  I was so sad because I thought they were a great couple.  Shortly after that, I got a call from Joanne that she wanted to hire me to do her maternity photos.  YEAH!  I could have been happier.  She and Mark were married in Vegas and are moving forward with their lives and their beautiful little boy.  On September 16, 2010, at 7:45pm Joanne called me and said "its time."  She left me a message because I was out walking with Paul and didn't get the message til I returned at about 8:30.  I called her back and she said she was dialated to 4 and the hospital had admitted her.  I packed up my bags and headed out to Kaiser in San Jose for my first ever BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY.  Yet again, Mark and Joanne trusted me with a momentus occasion in their lives.  Joanne didn't progress very fast and she had terrible back labor.  It was a very long night.  Mark took a short nap on the floor while I napped in the papa's chair.  At two we changed rooms, at 4 they gave her pitocin, at 10am she started to push and at 11:55 the most amazing birth of Christian Ruperto Agellon was born.  WOW!  Crazy Beautiful.  Thanks so much Mark and Joanne for sharing this day with me.  I hope you love the pictures as much as I do.  Love, Lauri (Studio 22381 Photography)

Joel and Sonia Rojas Wedding September 4, 2010

This was so special to me.  I woke up that morning with butterflies in my stomach knowing that someone's special day was in my hands.  I have to say that I was nervous yet excited and confident.  I just love Joel and Sonia.  I did their engagment shoot a couple of months ago and had such a good time with them which meant that I had a bit of ease going into the wedding with regard to fitting in to their day.  Let me say that I did not expect the day to be so incredible.  It was a very big wedding in Morgan Hill, California.  We met at the hotel first thing in the morning so that we could shoot the detail shots and Sonia and her maid of honor, Claudia, getting ready.  This was FUN!  Love the detail shots.  After we finished there, Stacey, my second shooter, and I went out scouting (on our lunch break) for a close by location for some Bride and Groom shots after the ceremony but before the reception.  Stacey new of a local winery that she thought I might like.  I loved it and was so glad that we went there.  The pictures from the winery (not sure of the name but I think it was Los Chelles.. or something close to that) are awesome.  After that, we headed back to the reception for a fun night of about 4000 photos.  I think I over shot... LOL!  Anyway, what a great experience and I feel so confident that I will be able to shot any wedding with out nerves in the future.  Thank you Joel and Sonia for choosing me to capture this special day for you.  HUGS, Lauri
